Day 487 - More Rock Moving

Thursday, October 19 -- Lots of rock moving went on today... until (get this!) we ran out of large rocks! Yep, no more large boulders to finish the north border along the property line. We will have to go get some. We were all shocked that all those piles are gone.

We built the planter along the front steps, finished the south retaining wall, and worked on the north border.

Kelli spent the morning etching the hangar apron aggregate to help remove the cement residue. The aggregate does looks better now. There is still some white efflorescence, but that should all go away in time...

Kelli relieved John at noon so that he could work on finishing the tile in the foyer...

Notice anything missing?

Kelli spent a long day in Weaverville and Redding yesterday running house errands and picking up supplies for Ken. Our wood stone base slab is being fabricated, the guest bathroom mirror frame is at the glass shop and there is now a Lowe's home store in Redding!!

Yesterday, the crew built the slump stone posts for the safety barrier...

Here are some better pictures of the staircase...
