Day 485 - Slump Stone Posts #1

Tuesday, October 17 -- A chilly morning here in TC -- 35 degrees.

Dave and Rick started the day preparing to set the slump stone posts for the safety rail along the tall hangar retaining wall. They set the blocks with spacers, determined the position for the railing holders, and cut the slots for the holders. Dave has holders ordered. Kelli will pick them up tomorrow.

Kelli spent the morning scrubbing the aggregate slab to remove loose sand and cement residue. Tomorrow she will get some muriatic acid that, used in a 10% dilution, will clean the cement haze off of the stones...

John worked on laying tile in the foyer--now that the stairs are finally done...

In the afternoon, Dave, Kelli, and Rick set more rocks and placed planting soil on the south retaining wall...

Some dawn pictures from the airport...

Fog in a valley and rising off of the lake...
