Day 478 - Apron Prep

Friday, October 6 -- Yesterday was a shopping trip to Medford to get 320 pounds of concrete colorant, circuit breakers, and a mess of other house stuff. (And Moose Munch from Harry and David's.) The guys onsite said that they got rain during the day, Medford was mostly sunny. Our weather gauge says .07".

The drive to Medford was absolutely gorgeous. Fall colors are underway, the air was clear of smoke, and the yarrow is in bloom. Being a native Californian, Kelli thinks that this drive is one of the most beautiful in the state.

Mike flew up this morning for a well deserved vacation and helped with the hangar apron layout. We are still working with the county on a grade plan that they like. Plan A is to do the first concrete pour on Tuesday...

John grouted in the range recess and prepared for installing the backsplash tile. We need to get a better tile saw to cut the holes for the outlets before we can continue. Here are pictures of the recess before grout...

And after, with the happy installer John...

Our first house seasons' decorations :-)
