Day 463 - Deck Lighting Done

Friday, September 15 -- Dave installed the transformer for the low-voltage deck lights. The transformer is under the landing for the south side deck stairs, and is controlled from inside the house with a dimmer on the RadioRA system. We can include the deck lights in programmed outdoor "scenes."

Dave installed the freezer drawers. He had to move the rear anti-tip strip so that the freezer door panels are flush with the cabinet. And, the phone company finally showed up to bring dial tone to the house. Dave supervised the installation of the outside phone company access box after the phone lines were fished from the street to the vault in the garage floor and then up to the access area in the north wall. And finally, he hung the snow cable control boxes on the garage wall. They are not yet wired to the snow cables.

John got about half of the exercise room tile down...

Meanwhile, Kelli taped and painted the garage step molding and risers in the hangar (2 coats) and garage stairs (1 coat). The risers are brown and the treads will be non-skid tan...

Kelli also sealed the laundry room soapstone tile with the mineral oil that Kelli's mom and dad brought up...

It was a cold day in TC. An early blast of autumn -- 40 degrees in the morning and the threat of rain all day. The rumor going around town is that it snowed in Mountain Meadow -- at about 5,000 feet. :-(
