Day 455 - Shim Shimmery, Act 3

Tuesday, September 5 -- Dave and Rick were back on site and started up the deck project again. Today was spent shimming (yes, more shimming.) The front beam and flashing are awful. Take a look a the sizes of some the shims needed to make the deck plank frame level...

After grouting the laundry room backsplash, John worked on the master bath tub backsplash...

Mountain Gate returned to finish the front stairs railing and remove the balcony railing and interior stairs railing for the remake...

Poor guys. The Big Bar Complex fire flared up over the weekend and closed the main road from the coast into Trinity County. The Mt Gate crew had to take the only other option -- a very windy, hilly road.

Kelli and Mike worked on installing shower light fixtures, cleaning up, installing the trash compactor, deciding on the foyer step tile, and working on the installation of the dishwasher and freezer drawers.

Mike left for the Bay Area about 6:30 p.m.
