Day 448 - Final Cabinet Work

Thursday, August 24 -- Mitch and crew called at 5:30 a.m. today to say that they were free to come up and finish our cabinet work. They are a great crew. They put panels on all of the appliances and fixed a list of to-dos, such as sticky drawers, aligning cabinet doors, and fixing dents...

Dave and Rick finished installing the center column cover and installed the south column cover. Humm.. the white isn't too bad...

John continued work on the tile. The edge pieces are time consuming...

Our other John worked on the wrapping and posts for the interiors stairs, but nothing to take a picture of today.

Kelli spent a lot of time on the phone trying to track down red cedar for the garage and hangar railing, a missing appliance trim kit for the refrigerator, a grille for the cold air return under the stairs, and answering the normal flow of calls. I have no idea how you could build a house without a cell phone.

She also sealed the guest bathroom counter slab and washed the shower tile for the second time.

The handrail for the spiral staircase that was delivered yesterday - creative packaging...

A neighbor is having a four day party to celebrate his 50th birthday and 20 years enjoying Trinity. He is using his jet to fly guests into Trinity Center. Here his pilot does a flyby to "chase deer" off of the runway...

The pilot made four trips into TC today, along with three trips by another jet--both bringing in guests. The TC airport sign used to be a joke -- jets in Trinity Center? I guess the sign fits now. A lot of guests are supposed to arrive tomorrow in their own private planes, should be interesting.

It got a little smoky today by 4:00 p.m...
