Day 443 - Upper Deck Rail

Thursday , August 17 -- A long day...

Dave and Rick got the upper deck railing done today and also completed the rail section on the south side of the deck...

Julio and Juan returned to glue the soapstone slabs together and glue down the slabs to the cabinets... We are missing two small pieces of soapstone that go around the wok. Replacements will be sent.

Here is a shot at 8:00 p.m., the color of the island is not correct. The real color is more green. The soapstone does have a green tone to it.

The Walgamuth crew was up to continue the repaint and change the color of the second floor bathrooms...

John finished grouting the south wall. Then Pete and John spent the day cleaning up and loading stone for a return for credit.

The interior staircase and entry stair railing are delayed due to some of the metal tubing arriving crushed. Sigh... Our CableRail handrail also came crushed by the shipping company. We received a replacement on Tuesday.

Tomorrow is a shopping/return trip to Medford to get two more GeoDeck boards and the replacement for two boards that were damaged, the front column covers, return the extra El Dorado stone, get blocks for the retaining wall safety rail, and a rambling list of small stuff. Mike is flying up in the morning and will be on overseer duty.
